9 VIII 2017 / AC Quaregnon-Wasmuël - ASC Havinnes 3-5 / Hainaut, Provincial Cup

Note: Borina Club Quaregnon, founded in 1929 and first taking part in Hainaut's Provincial Leagues in 1930/31, acquired the royal epithet in 1956. One year previously, the club moved into the newly built Stade Louis Piérard - not to be confused with its exact namesake in nearby Frameries. The first stone of the stadium had been laid by Prince-Regent Charles in 1946, but building works did not commence until 1951, taking four years. In 1997, a merger was concluded between Borina and Cercle Royal Etoile Rouge (CRER) Quaregnon-Wasmuël from nearby Wasmuël (this club in itself being a 1993 merger between Cercle Royal Etoile Rouge Quaregnon and FC Quaregnon-Wasmuël), resulting in the foundation of R Etoile Boraine (REB) Quaregnon, which retained Borina's matricule 1604. In 2009, however, REB Quaregnon ceased all activities. Three years later, a phoenix club saw the daylight, as two clubs of the Royal Groupement Corporatif Centre-Mons-Borinage (RGCCMB) league, Juventus Bridgestone and Jeunesse Turque Ataspor (JTA), merged. This new merger club, Jeunesse Sportive Borina Quaregnon, however, made headlines for the wrong reasons only as players and 'supporters' regularly misbehaved. As a result, owner Philippe Lescot gave up on the project in 2015, allowing his club to be absorbed by AEDEC Hyon, which became AEDEC Hyon-Quaregnon; first team football was played in Hyon only. In 2016, a new club saw the daylight in Quaregnon, Athlétic Club Quaregnon-Wasmuël; that same year, AEDEC Hyon-Quaregnon dropped the last part of its name. To add to the confusion, AC Quaregnon-Wasmuël were joined by a newly founded club, FC Borina Quaregnon, in 2019. In 2020 or 2021, AC Quaregnon-Wasmuël were evicted from the Stade Louis Piérard and moved to the Centre Interrégional de Sports et de Délassements Rail (CISDR) Saint-Ghislain in nearby Hornu. Thies leaves FC Borina Quaregnon as the only club making use of the stadium in Quaregnon nowadays.
